Independence Day on August 1st in Benin: Mireille d'Oliveira Richards proud of the event

On Thursday August 1, 2024, Benin celebrated its 64th anniversary of independence. An event that mobilized Beninese from both home and abroad, including Mireille d’Oliveira Richards, President of Bénin Connect (a company based in England). She has lived in Great Britain for some twenty years, where she works to ensure that her country is truly known by businesses. It was quite simply magnificent: I saw order, I saw discipline, I saw beauty, and I said to myself that anything is possible in Benin », said the CEO of Bénin Connect. She adds that this discipline needs to be inculcated in the lives of all Beninese.

Mireille d’Oliveira Richards works wherever she is outside Benin to encourage partners to invest in Benin. This is already beginning to pay off, with some investors giving priority to certain projects of President Patrice Talon’s government, which has great ambitions for Benin’s development.

The Cité Ministérielle was partly financed by a loan from the British. And her visit in 2022, when she was already with these British partners for this project, is a good sign that she is doing a lot. So to see her in front of this finished project is a great joy for the woman who worked so hard to bring this infrastructure to fruition, which will benefit Benin for years to come.

For all these efforts, Benin’s Head of State needs to have an audience with CEO Mireille d’Oliveira Richards, so that she can exchange ideas with him to ensure that more investments are made for the benefit of his Action Program. The President needs great businesswomen like Mireille d’Oliveira Richards to negotiate major projects that will help Benin shine abroad.
